[III-307] Evaluating steady state of micaceous sand by box shear test in constant confining stress condition

The box shear test is lower compared to the triaxial compression test etc. However the density in shear band can't be measured directly because the deformation is uneven. The purpose of this research was to solve this problem and to find the relationship between the confining pressure and the density in the steady state. A similar study is conducted using Toyoura sand, but in this study the confining pressure dependence of density is clarified by constant pressure box shear test in constant confining stress condition, by using micaceous sand, large compressibility as the experimental target.
