[III-314] Evaluation of elastic wave velocity of rocks using Laser impact and Laser doppler vibrometer
Keywords:rock, elastic wave velocity, laser impact, laser doppler vibrometer
Remote inspection is made possible in laser technology. In this study, elastic wave velocities of rocks were measured using laser impact and laser doppler vibrometer(LDV). The measured results showed the followings:
-Elastic wave velocities of rocks measured using laser were correlated with that measured using piezo sensor. The coefficient of correlation was 1.25.
-The waves that pass through the side surface of specimens had same velocity of the wave that through centers of specimens.
-In case without reflection tape, transmitted wave velocity was influenced by surface waves and underestimated.
