To reduce the cost to the maintenance of civil engineering structure in recent years, the improvement of the durability of reinforced concrete structures has be promoted as a part of preventive maintenance. Improving durability and/or slowing down deterioration of the reinforced concrete structures can be gained by the surface penetrant method. In this research, the effects of the new-type hybrid curing agents, which are the surface penetrants with chloride ion immobilizing function beyond curing function and durability improvement function, on the surface properties of concrete such as water-repellent, moisture keeping and water adsorption were investigated.
