[V-174] The Survey of Diffusion Coefficient of Chloride Ion in A Segment of A Transmission Shield Tunnel
Keywords:Shield Tunnel, Maintenance, Salt Damage, Diffusion Coefficient
It has passed 40 years from the construction of most of transmission shield tunnels which are nearby Gulf area. Groundwater containing a high concentration of chloride ion leaks into such tunnels, which may cause salt damage to steel bars of segments. Therefore, it is important to predict the time of occurrence of salt damage of steel bars. In this study, we investigated the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion in segments, and discussed the result in the view point of statistics.
