[V-302] Physicochemical study on strength characteristics of mortar with nitrite-based accelerator

CN, which is widely used as the main component of a non-freezing agent, promotes the hydration of C3A and has an effect on improving the initial strength of concrete. However, the relationship between hydration products and intensity development is unclear. In this study, examined the freshness, temperature history, strength characteristics and hydration products of mortar with large amount of CN added.As a result, the addition of CN generated nitrite-AFt in addition to AFt, so that good initial strength development was obtained. On the other hand, The intensity after 3 days decreased because a large amount of AFt was generated.
