[V-349] Influence of Lowest Temperature and Water Salinity on Frost and Salt Damage Progress
Keywords:Concrete, Lowest Temperature, Salinity, Frost Damage, Amount of Chloride ion
In cold regions, deicing salt are sprayed on the road to ensure the driving safety. Concrete structures in such areas are susceptible to the effects of deicing salt and freeze-thaw. The severity of the environment varies from region to region, and in order to reasonably maintain structures in various places with a limited budget, it is necessary to predict deterioration taking regional characteristics into consideration. We focused on temperature and salinity, and examined the effects of the lowest temperature and the salinity of water on the frost and salt damage.
