[VI-145] Visualization of flaking and peeling using laser heating optics with variable spot size

In order to prevent structual collapse of bridges and tunnels, there is an increasing demand for quickly grasping deterioration of them. Hence, imaging technique using infrared thermography enables us to measure temperature of targets which express internal condition from a distance without contact. In this study, we proposed the laser heating optical system with the variable spot size, which adjusts the heating range with high accuracy by using inexpensive optical components. Through the indoor and outdoor experiments, we verified that the irradiation range was set appropriately, and it was possible to observe the deterioration of the concrete structure.
