鉄道と道路は、双方が重要なインフラである。その交差部を継続的に機能させることが肝要であり、通常の維持管理とともに耐震化が行われている。今回、耐震補強工事を施工するにあたり、運行頻度の多いＪＲ線の上下線間に橋脚があり、補強鋼材の搬入が工事の成否の大きな要素と考えられた。搬入作業を含め「線路閉鎖工事」等の運転手続きがあり、施工場所の特状でその回数を削減する必要があった。そこで、搬入方法を重機作業から山越器活用への変更、仮設足場の形状変更と補強鋼材取込み口の対策、及び建築限界の制限範囲をできる限り有効に利用し、それぞれ効率化を図ることで、運転手続きを削減し、安全に施工を終えることができた。
