[VI-320] On the burning test of the exposure specimen of the fireproof paint constructed on the steel railway bridge

In Tokaido Shinkansen, fireproof paint is applied.
In application, it was defined that the temperature rise at the time of fire was suppressed to less than 350 degrees for 30 minutes and that the fireproof performance could be maintained for 8 years. In this paper, we carried out a combustion test using an exposure test installed on a real bridge seven years ago, and confirmed that fire resistance was maintained.
In the future, we plan to continue the observation of the appearance of the fireproof paint and the burning test with the exposure test , and to study the optimal repainting cycle and its method.
