[VI-328] A Consideration on the Deterioration Situation of the Chloride Control Section in the Subway Tunnel

It was found that in the tunnel section located under the river in the tidal area and the coastal area of Tokyo Metro, the leaked water containing salt penetrates into the concrete from the inner surface of the tunnel, causing deterioration due to rebar corrosion. We have investigated the cause of these problems and verified the measures, and have carried out repair of chloride measures. The flow to decide the chloride countermeasure location and the results of the chloride countermeasure construction are shown. We report the situation before and after the countermeasure, such as re-deterioration rate of the tunnel section which carried out the measures against chloride.
