[VI-469] The Evaluation of Rock Mass by the Image Analysis of Tunnel Face using Fractal Dimension (In the Case of Cenozoic Quaternary Volcanic Rocks)
Keywords:Mountain Tunnel, Tunnel Face, Image Analysis, Fractal, Mathematical Quantification theory class Ⅰ
Geological evaluation of tunnel face rock is very important from the point of disaster prevention and economic construction of the tunnel, and a system to evaluate the geological situation objectively and quickly is needed. In this study, the rock quality is evaluated by image processing and fractal dimension analysis as a method to evaluate the geological condition of the tunnel face rock quickly, simply and objectively, focusing on the fractal characteristics of the crack distribution in the rock. Moreover, according to the quantification theory class 1, each item of the face evaluation point was analyzed as an independent variable and a fractal dimension as a dependent variable for each rock type.
