[VI-580] COLLISION PERFORMANCE TEST REPORT OF A PRECAST BRIDGE WALL RAIL TO ENABLE RAPID CONSTRUCTION
Keywords:bridge wall rail, precast, collision performance test, rapid construction
In Japan's highway bridges, deterioration has become apparent due to aging, and many large-scale renewal works are planned and implemented. At that time, the impact of traffic regulation due to construction and the shortage of workers are issues. One of solutions is to use precasting of bridge wall rail. The authors have developed a precast bridge wall rail for the purpose of shortening the construction period, securing stable quality, and saving labor in the field work. The joint structure is integrated by filling non-shrink mortar on the curb with the steel deformed bar protruding from the precast bridge wall rail as joint material. In this paper, we report a collision performance verification test.
