The Super-Ring Method is a tunnel construction method suitable for narrow cities where the process is required to be shortened and the labor is required to be reduced. This method is to construct a tunnel by assembling segments having joints which are precast members in a ring shape, and the ring joints are mortar-filled steel pipe joints developed for this method. In addition, a pre-stress tension is introduced in the ring to stabilize the structure.
This report reports on the design method of this method and the result of reproduction analysis of full-scale construction experiment. As a result, the amount of vertical deformation of the ring could be roughly reproduced.
