横浜環状北西線は，東名高速道路「横浜青葉IC」と第三京浜道路「港北IC」を結ぶ延長約7.1kmの路線である．そのシールド区間のうち併設されたトンネルを結ぶ連絡路（以下，Uターン路②）を施工した．Uターン路②工事の課題は，(1)短い工程で(2)砂地盤の中，安全に非開削工法を行うことである．本稿では，(1)工程短縮について報告する．
