本工事は在来線と新幹線高架橋が並走する場所で，在来線の線路下に函体を新設するものである．本報告では，函体を築造する上で必要となる立坑築造に採用した連続地中壁（深さ19.5m）の施工方法（TRD工法）と軌道・構造物の変状について報告する．
　TRD工法とはチェーンソー型のカッターを地中に挿入しベースマシンにて横移動しながら連続地中壁を構造する工法である．
