[VI-998] Design and construction of seismic reinforcement measures of a road bridge crossing an overpass and a river section
Keywords:Seismic reinforcement, Seismic resistance performance, Reinforced concrete lining, Carbon fiber lining, Footing thickening, Ground lowering
This bridge is a five-span simple steel girder bridge with a span of 210 m and was constructed in the early 1970s. The rigid-frame type bridge pier has a reinforcement of termination points and is positioned as a bridge with high seismic reinforcement priority. In addition, it is crossing condition to cross emergency transportation road in the first span, and adjustment reservoir in the second to fifth spans.
In this paper, in order to raise the seismic reinforcement progress, we report on the concept of seismic resistance performance set for each overpass and cross section of the river, and in particular on the design and construction of the seismic reinforcement measures implemented in the substructure.
