[VII-113] Investigation of the artificial burrows of the invasive crayfish Procambarus clarkii in the wetland to save fireflies
Keywords:Firefly , Crayfish, Artificial burrows, Capture survey
It is important for firefly maintenance to capture crayfish that prey on fireflies. In this report, in order to control the population of the crayfish, we report the capture survey by pseudo burrow using polyvinyl chloride pipe in winter. From the viewpoint of firefly conservation activities, the capture method using artificial burrows is low cost because it does not require food, and it is effective as a control for crayfish because it has little influence on the deterioration of water quality.
