[VII-15] Evaluation of ammonia removal performance by microalgal-bacteria consortia Photo-baffled reactor
Keywords:Microalgal-bacteria consortia, Ammonia removal, 16S rRNA
It is important to remove nitrogen and ammonia (NH4+-N) from factories and domestic wastewater to prevent eutrophication and preserve water quality. In this study, continuous treatment experiments were conducted to evaluate the removal performance of ammonia by microalgal-bacteria consortia Photo-baffled reactor. Chlorella vulgaris was cultured on Day 0-16. Activated sludge was inoculated after Day 16 of operation NH4+-N concentration of the artificial wastewater was set to 180 mg-N / L. As a result of the experiment, NH4+-N removal rate achieved 67%.
