中深度処分施設における閉鎖後長期の管理に資するモニタリング技術の整備や，その実証試験の必要性に鑑み，人工バリアや周辺岩盤の長期にわたる機能確認方法の確立を目的とした調査・検討を進めている．本報告では，閉鎖後の施設周辺の地下水分析を用いた施設の機能確認方法について検討した成果を述べる．人工バリアの安全機能への影響を評価するための計測項目を抽出し，さらに別途実施した化学的変質を考慮した解析結果を参照して，計測項目・期間・範囲等のモニタリング計画を具体化した．
