Due to recent abnormal weather conditions, such as localized torrential rains, countermeasures against water leakage have become a major problem in maintenance of underground structures. Deterioration can occur even in underground shopping streets, which are underground spaces with public passages and shops, and water leakages at ceilings, walls and stairs adjacent to soil and their treatment has become a common problem.
In this study we applied inorganic self-healing repair materials and examined their effectiveness as a countermeasure against water leakage.
