Slag-blended cement usually shows different behaviors from pure OPC especially under different curing temperatures and blending ratios. In this study, the relationship between strength, reaction degree of slag and the chloride binding capacity are studied on the cement blended with slag at 0% to 70% ratio. Mortar and paste samples were prepared and cured. It is found that the degree of reaction of the slag decreased with increasing blending ratio, significantly influencing the strength development at early age. The chloride binding property, however, is found to tend to increase with increasing blending ratio.
