[I-172] Finite element analysis on hysteretic characteretics of anchors for equipment and piping systems under cyclic loading tests
Keywords:Finite element analysis, Material nonlinear, RC Structure, Equipment and piping system, anchor, cyclic loading test
When the RC structure supports the equipment and piping system, such as water intake and discharge facilities of thermal and nuclear power plants, headed anchor bolts are often used to fix the base. The authors have carried out cyclic loading tests and strength evaluation to understand the seismic hysteresis characteristics of the anchors. In this study, we performed a three-dimensional finite element analysis with appropriate consideration of the material nonlinearity for these experiments, and demonstrated that the hysteresis characteristics and internal failure modes of anchors subjected to cyclic loads can be well simulated.
