[I-444] MODELING OF BANGKOK BASIN FOR EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE ANALYSIS

〇Suheng Li1 (1.kyoto University)

Keywords:Bangkok basin, seismic characteristic, modeling, Finite difference method

Bangkok Metropolitan Area (BMA), the economical hub and social center of Thailand, is serving a large population of 16 million people. From previous seismic cases, there are large distances from the epicenter to BMR, previous studies reveal that the amplitude of seismic could be largely affected by the subsurface structure of BMR. In this study, the subsurface model of sedimentary basin of BMR would be obtained by boring data. Via Finite Difference Method, the amplitude diagrams located within Bangkok city where has the upmost inhabitants’ density could be acquired from earthquake simulation.
