With replacement work increasing for aging bridge slabs, the demand for shortening the period of traffic suspension has risen. Nowadays, precast slab becomes popular because of its construction time saving. The joints for precast slab should meet the needs for both enough strength and less construction time. In this research, the joint design, which uses T-headed rebars with mechanical anchors instead of normal rebars and the lap joint with 5times length of the rebar diameter is proposed. By conducting bending test, it is shown that the proposed joint has enough strength and good performance.
