When spherical storage tank designed by previous seismic design standard of high pressure gas facilities, which was not considered pile foundation-soil dynamic interaction and the structure influence on ground motion, a pile foundation may be damaged during large scale earthquake at soft soil. In this paper, Three-dimensional effective analyses with parameter of pile numbers was conducted to improve the earthquake-resistant. It was realized that the foundation was necessary 49 piles to secure earthquake-resistant at representative soft soil by the analysis result.
