For existing bridge foundation designed with old standards, the results of seismic performance verification always show that most bridge foundations do not meet the related prescription in current standards and need to be retrofitted. However, the damage cases of bridge foundation confirmed in past earthquakes are not too many, showing an inconsistent trend with the seismic performance verification result. The evaluation accuracy of the seismic performance for the existing bridge foundation needs to be improved.
In this paper, the evaluation formula accuracy of shear capacity for pre-stress concrete pile model is investigated by simulation study.
