Yodogawa -Bridge is a heavy traffic road bridge consisting of 24 -spans of plate girder constructionspans and 6 truss central -spans ofs truss construction, and has been utilized in service for over 90 years. The main structures and RC slabs were have been repaired many times because of the damage caused by bombing during the World War II, the 1995 Southern Hyogo Prefecture Earthquake and aging. Because the RC slabs have had suffered the rebar corrosion and the concrete delamination. Hence, in this project, the deteriorated RC slabs were replaced by the steel orthotropic decks without closing the road to traffic.
