MDPE pipe, which are now widely used as gas pipes, are damaged each year by collision with heavy equipment due to construction work by third party. Therefore, while protection is provided by coating the protective material on the MDPE pipe, a new gas conduit material has been studied for the purpose of withstanding the damage caused by the accident due to the strength of the pipe itself. In this study, we conducted a falling weight impact test on 3 types of resin pipe. As a result, the damage situation of the resin pipe was grasped, and the speed at which the pipe penetrated due to impact was estimated from the result of the static loading test on the pipe.
