[II-157] Road disaster prevention for coastal erosion damage during the winter storm
Keywords:Coastal road damage, Winter storm event, High waves, Shore erosion
In recent years, as the wave height increases, the frequency of high waves hitting the coastal road has been increasing, which has caused frequent embankment damage on the coastal road. In this study, we investigated the mechanism of erosion of foreshore, which was confirmed in December 2014 on the sandy beach along the National Highway on the Oshima Peninsula, Hokkaido at the time of the disaster. The erosion calculation of the foreshore was carried out by Larson model based on the survey, bathymetric survey, and grain size test, and it was confirmed that the method could be applied.
