Keywords:Typhoon Hagibis, flood, trace investigation, Ashikaga City, the Hata River

The heavy rainfall by Typhoon Hagibis caused severe floods in Ashikaga City. In this study, traces of the flood were investigated, and the outline of the flood was clarified. First of all, the waters of the Hata River overflowed its bank, and the flood ran southwest. It stayed at the embankment of the Ryomo Line and flowed into the Izuru River. As a result, overflow and levee breach occurred in the Izuru River, and the flood flowed into the Ona River basin. This is the main cause of the severe flood at the Ona River basin in Ashikaga City.
