[II-237] Study on prevention of local scouring and hydraulic characteristic using block mat protection
Keywords:river levee, overflowing, block mat, local scouring distribution
The purpose of the research is to reinforce slopes and slopes to delay river levee breakwaters and suppress the scouring of the inside of levee.
The effect was verified by experiments and calculation models. Hydraulic experiments were conducted with a 1/6 model and actual scale on the presence of block slopes and foundation work with block mats. As evaluation items, downstream scour distribution, maximum scour depth, and terminal velocity were used. As a result, the scour depth was suppressed most by the new type of block mat of the "sagging method" without foundation work at each overflow depth.
