[II-74] Basic study on numerical simulation of a new simplified wave-overtopping prevention method

We have proposed a simple method for the wave-overtopping prevention. The method utilizes a cylindrical body for the vertical seawalls, the both ends of the cylindrical body are moored using rope to the front face of the seawalls. We confirmed that numerical simulations with "DualSPHysics" which is based on the SPH model is useful to simulate the performance of the proposed prevention method. The numerical model, however, was not able to reproduce mooring ropes of the method at that time. In this study, we attempted to improve the numerical simulations with "Project chrono" which is a mechanism model. The mooring ropes were reproduced by combining rigid bodies and hinges in the simulations.
