[III-139] A study on modeling of stone structures and evaluation of mechanical stability by analysis

Maho Yamaguchi1 (1.Nagasaki University)

Keywords:stone structures, earthquake, individual element method

The stone wall was the most damaged by the Kumamoto earthquake. In the future, the mechanism of the collapse of the stone wall should be clarified so that similar damage will never happen again while the occurrence of a large-scale earthquake is assumed again. In this study, based on the study of the past by the individual element method, the purpose is to examine the factors that influence the stone wall stone by constructing the ishigaki model and comparing the collapse pattern in various conditions. It was found that the higher the height of the stone wall, the larger the slope, and the lower the height, the less inclined the slide surface would be.
