[III-265] A study on a two-step pressure transition with an emergence of immediate pressure in one-dimensional dynamic deformation problem of saturated ground based on “u-w-p two-phase mass system model”
Keywords:u-w-p formulation, soil-water coupling, numerical analysis
Two-step pressure transition following emergence of the immediate pressure in one-dimensional dynamic deformation problem of saturated ground was investigated based on a solid-fluid two-phase mass system model. The governing equation was eventually reduced to a damped harmonic equation exhibiting overdamped/damped oscillations depending on the dimensionless parameter h which is reciprocally proportional to the permeability coefficient. Especially, h>1 provides double exponential solutions dissipating at different speeds so that the distinctive recovering/consolidating behaviors are distinctively detected in pressure-time relation.
