Short W shape pile foundations were constructed for noise barriers in residential embankments during high economic growth period. Designed horizontal displacement of these piles is several dozens or over hundred millimeters. That mean it shakes and loose the embankments. Moreover, rain water can intrude to embankment via gaps around piles. It increases risk of slope collapse. Thus, it is proposed to prevent the slope collapse that additional sheet pile foundation and pavement by smeared crack concrete. Designed horizontal displacement of the method is only several millimeters. Thus, it can prevent slope collapse by reducing deformation and protecting water intrusion.
