This paper reports the viewpoints for ensuring safety of maintenance works by analyzing the correlation between the groundwater levels and the soil rain index regarding the 2 areas of cut slopes and 1 area of bank slopes where anti-landslide measures were done during the construction, the ground water levels were surveyed for a long time after opening to traffic and thus they have had a lot of data³ about the topography, geology, and countermeasures
