Typhoon "Hagibis" hit Kanto region of Japan on the night of October 12th, 2019, and it brought terrible disasters to our expressways such as closure of Chuo Expressway for a week. This study reports on the emergency response for the collapse of cut slope between Sagamiko-Higashi Interchange and Sagamiko Interchange as an example. Major problems were traffic jams on normal roads and congestions of construction equipments at the disaster site. In contrast, new method of public relations such as announcement of progression status on social media was successful. For the future, we should share this experience with inside and outside the company and collaborate with other operators and authorities.
