Keywords:UAV, aerial photograph, riverbed shape, cross sectioning, refractive index

In recent years, the use of UAVs in the survey field has been actively carried out. If this technology can be applied to river surveying, the burden of cross-sectional surveying can be reduced. However, because the surface of the water absorbs not only the reflection but also the sunlight, it is dark in the photograph. Moreover, the flow is disturbed in the place where the flow rate is fast, and the riverbed is not reflected in the photograph. The purpose of this study is to clarify the limits of the riverbed shape grasp of rivers using UAV. As a result of considering the refractive index of light, it was found that the average error is capable of measuring the riverbed shape at less than 5cm.
