As one of the measures to expand the use of timber, the authors are developing a reinforcement method of placing logs on soft ground or ground where liquefaction is a concern. It is considered that the ground on which the logs are cast has higher average stiffness than the surrounding ground, and the ground vibration such as traffic vibration is reduced accordingly.
Therefore, we measured the vibration of a heavy vehicle and heavy equipment running in an experimental yard where the ground was reinforced with various log placement intervals and log lengths. In this paper, the results of the vibration reduction effect of the ground reinforced with different specifications were confirmed.
