[V-71] Quantitative Evaluation of Crack Suppression Effect by Moist Insulation Curing
Keywords:Curing of moisture and heat , Surface cracks, Thermal crack, Mass concrete, Curing mat
In order to suppress surface cracks occurring in mass concrete, it is effective to apply appropriate curing, maintain a wet state, and reduce the temperature difference between the surface and the inside of the concrete body to reduce the temperature stress due to internal restraint. In this report, the effect of the type of curing mat laid on the upper surface of the slab on the occurrence of surface cracks was experimentally examined. As a result, it was found that surface cracking can be suppressed by performing appropriate heat preservation and performing moist curing for a long time only with initial watering.
