Lithium nitrite is increasingly used in crack injection and section repair methods. However, in the method using lithium nitrite for the surface penetrant method, enough knowledge about corrosion suppression effect and its verification method has not been obtained. In this study, the corrosion suppressant effect of reinforcing steel and the verification method by the lithium nitrite surface penetrant material. As a result, corrosion of steel was suppressed in both ordinary concrete and high-strength concrete. It was also suggested that electrochemical nondestructive tests such a spontaneous potential and polarization resistance could be applied.
