The test specimens manufactured according to the painting specifications assumed for on-site painting work are exposing outdoor exposure. The objective of the experiment is to verify long-term durability of water-based paints about outdoor exposure. The test specimens are made by simulating steel bridge girders. The paints film on the test specimens investigate regularly degree of deterioration. This article describes is the results obtained one year after the start of the atmospheric exposure test.
