遮熱性舗装は、密粒度舗装と比較して路面温度を低減させることが出来るが、路面温度低減効果は日射量や気温によって異なることが報告されている。路面温度低減効果を有する遮熱性舗装は、遮熱性舗装を施工前にどれくらいの路面温度低減効果を発揮するのかを予め把握することが費用対効果の上でも重要である。そこで、気象庁観測データ等の引用可能な気象データ（気温、積算日射量、雨量）を用いて、遮熱性舗装の路面温度を推定する式（以下、路面温度推定式と称す）を構築することを目的とした。
