[V-499] Study on pothole countermeasure in cold snowy regions by chemical spraying
Keywords:freeze-thaw, pothole, chemical spraying, snowy cold regions, asphalt pavement
In recent years, asphalt pavement in snowy cold regions has been a major issue, such as damage to potholes that occur frequently during the snowmelt season. Pothole is one of the major factors due to the freeze-thaw cycle of snowmelt water. All existing pothole countermeasures have been advanced in terms of pavement durability improvement technology and repair methods, and no countermeasures focused on reducing the effects of freezing and thawing have been studied. We studied in a laboratory test how to reduce the effects of freeze-thaw by chemical spraying.
