[V-555] Scaling properties of concrete using ordinary Portland cement and Portland blast-furnace slag cement type B
Keywords:Scaling, Antifreezing agent , Ordinary Portland cement , Portland blast-furnace slag cement type B
Scaling properties of concrete using ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and Portland blast-furnace slag cement type B (BB) were investigated based on the method of JSCE-K572. The scaling amount of BB concrete was about three times that of OPC concrete, and the scaling depth of BB concrete was relatively shallow. Although the compressive strength of OPC concrete was higher than that of BB concrete, the air-void spacing factor and water absorption rate of BB concrete were smaller than that of OPC concrete. Factors dominating the scaling deterioration were not identified in this study.
