The use of various types of shear-reinforcement using mechanical anchoring has been increasing to improve the efficiency of rebar arrangement work and seismic reinforcement of existing structures. The plate anchoring type shear reinforcement differs in shape and anchoring performance from commonly used closed stirrups and U-shaped stirrups, so it is expected that the shear behavior will be different. Therefore, in this study, we carried out load tests of RC beams reinforced by shearing reinforcement with closed stirrups, U-shaped stirrups, and plate anchoring shear reinforcement and investigated the 3-dimensional behavior of internal cracks and strain propagation and shear strength.
