There is a method to improve the slip resistance by grinding the concrete pavement surface with a diamond cutter with a thin layer. We applied this method to asphalt pavement. In this paper, in order to understand the effect of reducing the surface noise of the surface ground road and the durability of the surface grinding, such as the resistance to scattering of aggregates, we conducted tests on the Tomakomai winter test track for noise reduction and scattering resistance.
