[V-605] Performance Test on Fatigue Strength of Mortar Grouted Splice Sleeves based on ISO 15835

ISO15835 requires that mechanical splices under high cycle fatigue load sustain a fatigue loading of at least 2 megacycles with a stress range of 60 MPa without failure. The upper stress in the test is prescribed as 0.6 times of the specified characteristic yield strength. In this study, reinforcing bar specimens made in Singapore with mortar grouted splice sleeves were manufactured, and high cycle fatigue test was conducted based on the ISO to examine the fatigue performance. The result showed that the specimens with mortar grouted splice sleeves fully satisfied the demand performance under the high cycle fatigue load of ISO.
