There have been many reports of damage at the bent part of bridge drainage pipes made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). The main reason for this is that the coefficient of linear expansion of PVC material is about seven times that of steel and concrete. That difference causes stress concentration at the bent part due to expansion and contraction. To solve this problem, a rubber elbow and tee shaped junction were developed. The developed junction has advantages of achieving easy angular adjustment and maintaining cross-sectional shape by molding rubber of different hardness. The workability performance is good because of its lightweight and ease of adjustment of the angle.
