In the case of concrete placing in narrow spaces such as the tunnel lining concrete, the blow-up method or the single-push method are used. In these methods, it is important to check the filling state, but the conventional filling detection sensor had problems such as “only the set point can be detected” and “they can’t be confirmed during placing”. In this study, we conducted an experiment with an optical fiber sensor that can measure the change of strain in a linear and real-time. As a result, it showed a possibility that optical fiber sensor can monitor the concrete filling behavior.
